There are two maps of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Both are ARCGIS maps, which means they have the same characteristics. With both you can zoom in or zoom out by clicking on any spot on the map. You can also hold the left clicker button down and move the mouse, which in turn moves the map on the screen. The U.S. Forest map allows one to determine the GPS coordinates of any spot on the trail merely by clicking on it. The distance from one point on the trail to another can be determined by clicking on one point and moving to another while holding the clicker down. The Florida Trail Association map in close up mode shows the location of trail heads, water sources, resupply points and side trails which are not shown on the Forest Service map. Be patient, both of these maps open SLOWLY.
